Dear Mr. Miller,
Attached please find two letters received from the neighbors of the Northtown Center project. These letters
address the desire for screening, fencing and an increased buffer adjacent to the residential development.
These letters are in response to the Planning Commission's action on the project. While the buffer cannot be
automatically increased in width by the requirements of the ordinance, it may have to be increased to maintain
the buffer. As part of the final plan review the buffer will need to be addressed as part of the landscape plan.
The location of trees within the buffer will need to be shown. If grading outside of the buffer will likely
result in the death of a tree within the buffer this has been considered as a disturbance of the buffer.
Measures to protect trees within the buffer may include such measures as; increased buffer, tree wells, or tree
walls. Potentially other measures may exist. I am providing these letters for your use and reference. If you
have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
William D. Fritz, AICP
