My pleasure. I forgot to say in my last email that the revised site plan you submit for the dumpster relocation should
also exhibit your landscaping intentions that satisfy the ARB's requirements. Make sure it includes a plant schedule and
all other items typically found on a landscape plan.
Thanks,

Hi Heather — I can't thank you enough for pursuing the dumpster relocation on our behalf — this certainly paves the way.

Subject: Mechum's Trestle action, ARB meeting 7/17/17
Hi Bill and Chris,
I wanted to update you on the recent action taken by the ARB on Monday's meeting:
ARB-2017-43: Mechum's Trestle
Staff reported on two proposed changes for the Mechum's Trestle project: 1) a request to leave the red brick at the base of
the building unpainted, and 2) a request to move the dumpster from the approved location. After a brief discussion, it was
the consensus of the ARB that 1) the brick could be left unpainted, and 2) the dumpster location near the west end of the
EC frontage could be acceptable with supplemental planting and screening, noting that the planting would need to be
"robust" and provide adequate screening on "day 1 ".
In sum, the position you, Bill, labeled as #2 (away from the restaurant, on the westernmost end) for a possible dumpster
relocation on the site plan you brought to the pre-app meeting on 7/10/17 is acceptable to the ARB if a robust planting
plan is provided in which mature vegetation is planted to provide thick screening from the very start. Also, the ARB
approved the decision to leave the brick base unpainted.
I am still awaiting final materials from you all before I can issue a CoA for these minor amendments to architectural and
site plans. To summarize, I need to know whether the fixed doors you have selected for the east and west elevations will
be metal or wood, and I will need corrected specs if the choice is metal as well as material and color samples. In
addition, I need revised architectural elevations that addresses all of the proposed changes in toto, including the finish
of the newly proposed fixed doors, the decision to leave the brick foundation unpainted, etc. Thirdly, I will need a
revised site plan that shows the request to move the dumpster to spot #2, if, Bill, that is the spot of your choice. Again,
an LOR application for the relocation of the dumpster will need to be filed contemporaneously as this ARB submission; I
cannot issue your CoA for the dumpster without an approved LOR (which takes 10 days to review, by the way).
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
