The land is part of the Duke Powell Estate that was established circa 1930 to include parcels 60, 63 and 64. Between 1933 and 1949 Powell's Store was on parcel 64 fronting Rt. 20. The land has been continuously owned by the family since purchase in the early 1900's. According to the March 31, 1987 survey included here, Parcel 64 has five Division Rights. Upon the death of Colonel Powell in 1949 the farm was passed to his daughter, Fleta Lucas. By Will dated August 5, 1982, Ms. Lucas directed the Executor to partition the farm into two parcels with parcel 60A, 63 and 64 to be held in trust for her son, Bobby Wayne Lucas and passed to her daughter's descendants upon Bobby Wayne's death. In 2002 Bobby Wayne Lucas died and the parcel was deeded to Gregory Wayne Weisiger and Beverly Page Gordon and recorded in Deed Book 2240 page 584. Included with this letter is the signed Letter of Determination application form, 1979 County Tax map, current Tax Map showing no change in the parcel, 1987 survey, and current ownership information and required fee.
