18. SP2005019. Buck's Elbow Mountain Ntelos (WBP701) (Signs #35,36). Request to allow attachment
of 6foot long, 11.7inch wide antenna supporting portable wireless broadband services on exis ting structure.
The antenna will be attached with an extens ion rod extending 9 ft above the structure, whic h w ill result in
total top height of approx 42ft above ground lev el & 3153 above mean sea level (AMSL). This request is
being made in ac cord w /Sec [10.2.2.48] of the Zoning Ord, w hich allows for Tier III personal w ireless
s ervice fac in the R A zoning dist. TM 39, P 1E, contains 0.22 acs. R A. Loc on Buck's Elbow Mountain,
approx 31/2 mls N E of intersec w/Jarman's Gap R d (Rt 611). W hite Hall D ist.
19. ZTA 2005008. Entrance Corridor. Ordinance to amend Sec 30.6.2, Application, of Chap 18, Zoning, of
the Albemarle County Code, to add segment of St Rt 631 (East Rio Rd) from US R t 29 N easterly to
N orfolk Southern Railw ay track s, as a highway upon & along which an entrance corridor ov erlay district is
established.
20. ZMA 2005016. Entrance Corridor. Proposed amendment to Chapter 18, Zoning, of the Albemarle County
C ode, to amend zoning map to es tablish entrance corridor ov erlay district (Sec 30.6 of Chapter 18 of the
Albemarle County Code) upon each parcel of land contiguous to that segment of St R t 631 (East Rio Rd)
from U S Rt 29 N easterly to Norfolk Southern R ailway tracks , from edge of St Rt 631 rightofw ay to the
greater of either: (1) the full depth of each parcel, as that parcel existed on October 3, 1990; or (2) to a depth
of 500 feet. This proposed amendment would not affect the general usage & density range authorized by
the applicable underlying zoning district regulations for each parc el. The general usage & density range of
the 6 land use designations in the comprehensiv e plan along this segment of St Rt 631 are as follows: (1)
neighborhood density residential (residential, 36 units/acre, & supportive uses s uch as religious institutions
& schools & other smallscale nonresidential us es); (2) urban density residential (residential, 634
units/acre, & supportive uses such as religious institutions, s chools, commercial, office & service uses); (3)
neighborhood service (neighborhoodscale retail, wholesale, office, service, & residential, 634 units/acre);
(4) community service (communityscale retail & service, w holesale, office, employment c enter, &
residential, 634 units/acre); (5) regional servic e (regionalscale retail, wholesale & service, offic e, lodging &
c onference, employment center, & residential, 634 units/acre); & (6) office service (office parks, supportive
c ommercial & service, lodging & conference, limited produc tion activities, & res idential, 634 units/acre.
