authorized in the MHD is one dw elling unit per tw entyone ac res , and the proposed zoning tex t amendment
w ould not change that density.

Areas zoning district which allow s R A Rural Areas: agricultural, forestal, and fishery uses ; residential
density (0.5 unit/acre) to MHD Monticello Historic District z oning district, a planned historic dis trict to permit
the restoration, preservation, education, programs, research and business activities related to the operation
of a historic house museum and historic site at Monticello; residential dens ity (1 unit / 21 ac res ).

22. WPTA200800001. Water Protection Ordinance; stream crossings for roads, streets and driveways;
mitigation plans. Amend Sec. 17320, Types of development authorized in stream buffer, Sec. 17321,
Types of development which may be allowed in stream buffer by program authority, and Sec. 17322,
Mitigation plans, of Chapter 17, Water Protection, of the Albemarle County Code. This ordinance would add
s tream crossings for roads, s treets and driveways as an authorized type of development in a stream buffer,
s ubject to specific requirements (Sec. 17320); would authorize the program authority under specified
c onditions to allow stream cross ings for roads, streets and driveways that c ould not meet the requirements
of Sec. 17320, subject to approval of a mitigation plan (Sec . 17321); and would amend the procedural and
s ubstantive requirements for mitigation plans (Sec. 17322).
