Issued Date:8/6/2020
This is your Written Warning in accordance with § 17-900 of the Water Protection Ordinance of
Albemarle County and Section 62.1-44.15:37 of the Virginia Stormwater Management Act.
This Written Warning is being issued because of the following deficiencies:
Deficiency: Large areas of site are in need of overseed, soil amendment, grass not dense enough to
inhibit erosion
Corrective Action: Overseed with a hot weather nurse crop, amend the soil with fertilizer and lime as
needed to help the growth of the plant life, correct any scour and rilling
Deficiency: Observed slopes with thin vegetation and erosion rills
Corrective Action: See above comment for corrective action
Deficiency: Thin vegetation observed.
Corrective Action: Channel along Hanson needs stabilizing
Deficiency: Observed signs of sediment laden runoff leaving the site
Corrective Action: Install and maintain erosion controls until site has a mature, strong, and dense
vegetated cover.
Deficiency: Missing controls observed
Corrective Action: Reinstall controls as needed
Deficiency: With missing controls and lack of strong vegetation, sediment is leaving site
Corrective Action: Seed, install controls, and remove all debris and sediment from permanent
Stormwater controls, to prevent sediment damage to downstream properties
Unless subsequently amended in writing by this office, it is expected all corrective
measures will be completed by
Failure to comply by the required date may subject the owner to penalties and remedies as listed
under § 17-900 et -al of the Water Protection Ordinance of the Albemarle County Code.
