The letter of revision proposes the changes as shown on the attached plan and letter dated 8-17-2020. The requested changes are shown on the attached graphics (nine revised sheets from the site plan). There are no other changes to the approved plan proposed. Only items listed in the letter that are also listed and clouded on the site plan sheets have been approved. This is the First (2"d) Letter of Revision for this site. Three (3) Letters of Revision are allowed, after which all required changes must submitted in the form of a site plan amendment. Design Focused Engineering August 17, 2020 Paty Satemye County of Albemarle Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road, North Wing Charlottesville, Virginia 22902 RE: SDP 201800003 Hansen Road Church Letter of Revision 2 Dear Paty, Please find the third submission of the Letter of Revision #2 for TMP 78-73AB for review. The letter of revision includes the following changes: 1. Relocation of two handicap spaces and associated signs from the front of the church to the nearest spots east. New location requires one new CG-12. 2. Updated parking calculations due to handicap spaces moved. Resulting changes are three less parking spaces. Minimum required parking still met. 3. The pedestrian path along Rolkin Road is relocated adjacent to the curb in areas where curb is added with the site plan. The eastern path location has been revised since the previously approved Letter of Revision. 4. Grading is slightly revised along the new pedestrian path to remove any specification of a drainage Swale. 5. Proposed stairs off of Hansen Road were removed from the plans. 6. Three shrubs near sanitary manhole SXI were relocated approximately 8 feet up Hansen Road. 7. Sanitary lateral from the church was relocated to connect near the existing sanitary manhole SXI. 8. Proposed storm structure Al was relocated approximately 50 feet down Hansen Road due to existing storm pipe location. 9. Drainage maps and LD-204 calculations were updated with the relocation of storm structure Al. 10. A retaining wall of maximum 5.5 feet height is now proposed along Hansen Road near the church building. 11. The landscaping island in the looped drop off area was removed. One tree and ten shrubs were relocated to the sloped area between the drop off loop and the parking area east of it. No change in total proposed trees or shrubs. 12. One additional stair was added along the sidewalk at the top of the looped drop off area so that it would match the other side. 13. The sidewalk around the looped drop off area was extended to the eastern parking lot. 14. This sidewalk extension caused the relocation of two shrubs. 912 E. High St. Charlottesville, VA 22902 1434.227.5140 1 shimp-engineering.com 15. New bollards were added along the stairs off of Rolkin Road. These bollards contain lights which are 1600 lumens. The locations and specifications of the added lights are shown on the updated lighting plan and schedule. 16. Street trees along Rolkin Road were relocated behind the adjusted pedestrian path. Others were relocated closer to the revised path. 17. A note has been added to the cover sheet under "Required Improvements." 18. Trees between storm structure C2, storm structure C3, and the retaining wall were shifted to provide greater spacing. 19. A bumper block was added to the handicap parking space in front of the church. The bumper block detail is included on the grading plan sheet.
