Any outdoor seating areas previously approved remain in effect and are not subject to the expedited process and the VABCA required listed conditions. Before filling out this Application please make sure you have the following ❑ Address of the property. ❑ Hours of operation ATTACHMENTS ❑ A diagram/sketch of the area proposed for outdoor seating/beverage service showing: ❑ Well-defined ADA accessible points of ingress and egress. ❑ The number of tables and chairs to be provided. ❑ Lighting. ❑ The entire area enclosed with a well-defined barrier designed to prevent entry and exit except for at the designated entry and exit point(s). NOTE: If the proposed area is within an existing parking area show how the area will be blocked off from potential conflicts with motor vehicles. NOTE: The installation of temporary outdoor seating and beverage service areas shall not impede safe access or sight distance for pedestrians or vehicles. NOTE: Tents and shade structures • Only tents of 900 square feet or greater require a building permit. • Tents or shade structures less than 900 square feet do not require a building permit. • Verification of fire retardancy certificate must be onsite. • Installation must be completed in accordance with manufacturers installation instructions. The diagram/sketch must show the following: • Location of fire extinguishers, • Location of no smoking signs, and • Location of exit signs Submitting your Application Once you have all the information provided in the Instructions above: 1. I also confirm that the proposed outdoor seating/beverage service area will not exceed 50% of the maximum occu- pancy load on the certificate of occupancy of the establishment. I understand the directives outlined in Executive Order 61 effective May 15, 2020, and the requirements provided by the Alcohol Beverage Control Authority, and I will abide by them. I understand that this is temporary and will terminate pursuant to the date prescribed by Executive Order 61 or any additional order related to this application.
