As requested, Shenandoah Soil Consulting, LLC (SSC) completed a feasibility soil study (a.k.a. perc test)
at the afore -referenced subject property on August 24, 2020. The purpose of the study was to determine
the suitability of the site and soil conditions to support an onsite sewage disposal system for a proposed
event structure capable of hosting 350 guests maximum (1,800 gallons per day equivalent), at a rate of 18
catered events per year. SSC's understanding is that 14 of the yearly events will serve up to 150 guests.
SSC staked a proposed drainfield site on the subject property. Four soil borings were installed and
logged, to evaluate the subject property for a potential drainfield site, to depths of 78 inches below the
ground surface. Attached is a site sketch showing the approximate location of the delineated drainfield,
along with a summary that details the site and soil characteristics. The findings from our evaluation
indicate that the site and soil conditions for the area investigated meet the Virginia Department of
Health's Sewage Handling and Disposal Regulations (2000) for a conventional onsite sewage disposal
system (SDS). The area delineated and staked in the field should be adequate for the proposed event
structure, as outlined above. A reserve area will need to be sited prior to completion of a permit package.
If a surveyor will be hired to assist with site development, SSC recommends having the drainfield site
(and future reserve area) survey -located after completion of the fieldwork needed to obtain septic and
well permits. The contents of this report reflect the opinion of Shenandoah Soil Consulting, LLC as to
the suitability of the soils in the area investigated to support a conventional SDS and are based on the
observable site, soil, and topographic conditions available at the subject property on August 24, 2020.
Whenever you are ready to build on the property, we can perform the additional work necessary in order
to prepare a septic and well permit package for submittal to, and approval by, the Health Department.
The permit package will require a stamp, and possibly a design, prepared by a Professional Engineer.

represent only the conditions specific to the drainfield delineation shown on page 3, and does not pertain to
any other area on the property.
