Feel free to email me a draft of these changes before submitting to the County. Garland, Below is information to keep in mind when looking for the domestic and irrigation meter to be set: Domestic Meter— A water and sewer connection fee of $13,654 will need to be paid and accompany an approved water/sewer and backflow permit. Connection fees are reviewed at the beginning of each calendar year and may be adjusted starting July 1 of each year. Confirm this connection fee is still correct once construction begins. The water meter box and setter will need to meet ACSA construction specifications before the meter is set. The meter will be locked once set. The backflow for the building will need to be tested by a certified backflow tester, witnessed by an ACSA staff member, in order to unlock the meter. Irrigation Meter —An irrigation meter application should be submitted to ACSA. Since this will be submitted through Site Review, the $25 application fee will be waived. The fee to be paid for the 5/8" irrigation meter will be $184 and an approved backflow permit should accompany payment, when the meter is ready to be set. The meter will be locked once set. The backflow for the irrigation will need to be tested by a certified backflow tester, witnessed by an ACSA staff member, in order to unlock the meter. ACSA will not set the irrigation meter until the newly installed utilities are dedicated to ACSA. I have attached the checklist for your reference. Let me know if there are any questions.
