Thank you for your comments dated September 4, 2020 the above referenced project. Below are our responses to the comments
from the review of the Special Use Permit application.
Current Development:
1. The parking along the parcel frontage has been modified to create more landscaping areas for screening and buffering. The site
is constrained at one location with the existing building, 16' travelway, and parking areas, but the design has been updated to
add landscaping and landscaped islands in this location.
2. A plat and survey was performed on this site by a licensed land surveyor, and the information as shown on this application is
correct. County GIS parcel lines are not always accurate, and the parking and dumpster are located on our parcel, as shown.
3. This comment is acknowledged, a minor site plan amendment will be submitted once the SP is approved.
Engineering Comments:
1. This comment is acknowledged.
2. The hatching on the application plan has been updated.
3. The width of the one-way drive aisle has been dimensioned on the application plan and cross sections.
Entrance Corridor Review:
SP Comments:
1. Acknowledged, this note has been added to the application plan.
2. Acknowledged, this note has been added to the application plan.
3. Acknowledged, this note has been added to the application plan.
4. Acknowledged, this note has been added to the application plan.
5. Acknowledged, this note has been added to the application plan.
6. The free standing sign has been noted on the application plan and the narrative to be removed and replaced with a sign
meeting Albemarle County and ARB guidelines and requirements.
Concept Plan Comments:
1. The hatching color on the legend for the display parking area has been updated.
2. The existing conditions has been updated to show both sheds, and also notes that both sheds will be removed.
3. The note on the application plan has been updated about the trash receptacle, as requested.
4. The landscaping plan has been updated, along with modifications to the landscaping islands across the frontage of the
property. An additional landscaping island has been added to meet the County landscaping and screening requirements.
5. Landscaping has been added to the islands on the south side of the building, as requested.
