Board of Supervisors Meeting of March 30, 2011

ASSIGNMENT
1. Call to Order.
At 6:06 p.m., the meeting was called to order by
the Chair, Ms. Mallek. All Board members were
present. Also present were Tom Foley, Larry
Davis and Ella Jordan.
4. From the Board: Matters Not Listed on the Agenda.
Lindsay Dorrier:
Updated Board on his attendance at IMPACT
meeting on Monday, March 28th. Board
discussed and suggested that staff follow-up with
input from the Colonel Matthews and Region
Ten.
Rodney Thomas:
On Monday, April 4th, he and Mr. Snow will be
meeting with Secretary of Transportation
Connaughton.
The MPO is starting its 5-Year Plan process.
Duane Snow:
The Historic Preservation Committee is working
on a letter to go to property owners who wish to
donate their home to be used for fire training
purposes.
Steven Meeks has invited Board members to
take a tour of the Old Jail. Board members
agreed to tour the facility prior to the April 20th
night meeting.
Ann Mallek:
Provided an update on her attendance at a
meeting on the TMDL issue and the
implementation plan. There will be six pilot
regions who will be working on building baseline
inventories of agricultural practices. Asked for
Board support in sending a letter to the DCR
supporting the TJSWCD as one of the pilot
projects. Board members concurred.
County Executive: Provide follow-up to
Board.
Clerk: Post appropriate meeting notice.
5. From the Public: Matters Not Listed for Public
Hearing on the Agenda.
Greg Quinn asked that the Board not provide
financial support to IMPACT.
6. PUBLIC HEARING to receive comments on
Proposed Operating and Capital Budgets for
FY 2011/2012 and the Proposed FY 2011 Tax Rates.
HELD.
CONSENSUS of Board that staff set aside the
funds ($7,000) for the Police security at Board
meetings and investigate the most cost effective
method for providing this service.

There were none.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
