RE: Response Letter for SUB2020-098 — Galaxie Farm Subdivision Road Plans
Dear Richard,
Thank you for your latest review of the Road Plans for Galaxie Farm Subdivision. This letter contains
responses to County comments dated September 1, 2020. Our responses are as follows:
General
1. Provide water and sewer data sheets with next submission.
Water and sewer data sheets now provided.
Sheet C4
1. Relocate proposed water main alignment through access road. ACSA will allow bollards without
footers in the easement.
Water main alignment relies on access easement to connect at that location. For now, we
will take a conservative approach and show the unhindered connection which can be
achieved by connecting to the 12" stub through the easement right along route 20. This was
based on our review of the Kappa Sig Site Plans. We would prefer the connection through
the access road but have left the guaranteed connection plan for bid purposes.
Sheet C7
1. Provide water connection along road C. Refer to attached PDF.
Connection provided as requested. Achieved with storm sewer design revision.
2. End water main at the end of Road E with a BOA. Make this run of water main 4".
Road E main terminates as requested.
3. Water and sewer along Road D rcouire a minimum separation of 10'. Refer to attached PDF for
suggested alignment.
Sanitary manhole removed as recommended to achieve this separation.
4. Confirm in Road A2 will be extended in the future. Will the proposed storm will be in conflict
with a water main extension?
Road A2 will be improved in the future, this future crossing now shown on Storm Sewer F
profile.
Sheet C8
1. Relocate water meters for Lot 42-45 as shown on PDF.
Meters and associated easements moved as requested.
Sheet C14
1. Refer to attached PDF for landscape comments.
Landscaping locations near hydrant and sanitary sewer revised as requested.
