Dear Frank:
This letter will summarize the past week's events regarding the Keglers Major
Site Plan Amendment. If any history in this letter is inaccurate, please
respond to me in writing by December 28, 1992.
As I understand, on Friday, December 11, 1992, you, Jessie Hurt, Director of
Inspections and John Hood, President of Jefferson Country Fire and Rescue
Association, met at the Keglers site. At this meeting, you agreed to remove
all speedbumps in the travel aisles and parking area. There was some
discussion about implementing raised walkways designed similar to those at the
Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport. No conclusion regarding their location was
finalized and would be subject to county review. On Monday, December 14,
1992, charges related to the speedbumps were to be heard by the Albemarle
County district court. However, the case was continued until January 25,
1993.
I strongly recommend immediate removal of the speedbumps prior to January 25,
1992. Should you propose raised walkways, please submit a revised site plan
amendment noting any alternative design and location. Submit this plan no
later than January 11, 1993.
Should you have any questions, please call me as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
ki1/4
