Hi Buck and Jen,
I was reviewing the plat for SUB202000156 John McKenzie Dukes Martin and County View indicates the fees have NOT
been paid for this application. I thought that was odd because Roger Ray's office is typically good about submitting all
the required materials. So, I put in a call to their office. They indicated that the fee was paid via paper check (number
#3737) which was delivered to the County office on 8/21/2020 along with hard copies of the submission materials.
Can you confirm whether this fee has been paid?

Hi all,
Hope you're doing well! I'm reaching out because I have a plat under review right now — SUB202000156 John McKenzie
Dukes Martin —that will adjust a parcel boundary line to essentially move an existing rural -area dwelling from one parcel
to another. There is a bit of a discrepancy in our ordinance and applications as to whether we can review this to ensure
that the drainfield area(s) is also captured within the parcel boundary that is being moved. According to our ordinance
(14-416), we require these parcels to be served by individual private wells and onsite sewage systems. However,
according to our current BLA application, it is only when the proposed parcel(s) will be less than five (5) acres that we
specially require soil work and VDH approval. It's a bit nuanced, but basically from what I can gather is that VDH is fine if
there seems to be ample area in which a drainfield(s) can be relocated, if necessary. Is that true? If not, the County is
currently undergoing an effort to revise our applications so we can easily update our application requirements if needed.
Lastly, and probably of more immediate interest, do you see a problem with this application as currently proposed? If
the drainfields are, in fact, not captured in the boundary line adjustment, would that be a cause concern for VDH or the
County? See plat attached.
