Dear Sir or Madam:
This letter is to notify you as an adjacent property owner of the above -referenced petition described as
follows:
AFD201900001 Jacobs Run Addition — Dickerson Notice is hereby given that the Albemarle County
Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive public comments regarding the addition of the
following parcel to the Jacobs Run Agricultural and Forestal District (Albemarle County Code § 3-222) on
August 20, 2019, at 6 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Albemarle County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road,
Charlottesville, Virginia. The parcel proposed for addition is Tax Map 31 Parcel 44G2 (24.3 acres, located
at 4658 Advance Mills Rd). The Albemarle County Agricultural and Forestal Districts Advisory Committee
has recommended approval of this addition.
Agricultural and Forestal Districts are voluntary conservation districts that landowners can join to support
the County's efforts to protect the Rural Areas. Land in the Districts is subject to limitations on
subdivisions and some other development activity. Your property is not in the District, but is adjacent to it.
This petition will be reviewed and public comment received according to the following public hearing
schedules:

The Albemarle County Planning Commission will meet at 6:00 p.m., Lane Auditorium, Second Floor,
County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia. Should you wish to attend this
meeting, you may call this office during the week of the meeting to ask the tentative time the item is
scheduled on the agenda.
After the Commission has taken action on the proposal, a second public hearing will be scheduled for the
Board of Supervisors. The Board's meeting begins at 9:00a. m. A letter of notification of this hearing will
not be sent to adjoining owners.

RE: Review of the Lanark District
Ladies and Gentlemen:
This letter is to notify you, as property owners in the Lanark Agricultural/Forestal District, of the upcoming
public hearings on the review of that district.
• The Albemarle County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on August 20, 2019 at the
Albemarle County Office Building.
• The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors will be holding a public hearing on September 18,
2019 at the Albemarle County Office Building.
When a district is reviewed land within the district may be withdrawn at the owner's discretion by filing a
written notice with the Board of Supervisors at any time before the Board acts to continue, modify, or
terminate the district Therefore if you wish to withdraw all or part of your property from the Lanark
Agricultural/Forestal District then you must respond in writing to the Board of Supervisors at the above
address before they take action on September 18, 2019. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that
you wish to continue in the district for another 10 years.
It is hoped that you will decide to keep your property in the Lanark Agricultural/Forestal District. Albemarle
County supports and encourages such districts as a voluntary method to protect the County's Rural Area.
Albemarle County currently has about 72,400 acres enrolled in twenty-eight agricultural/forestal districts.
(Note that property remains in a district even when ownership changes.)

Dear Sir or Madam
This letter is to notify you as an adjacent property owner of the above -referenced petition described as
follows:
AFD201800002 Lanark District Review Periodic (10-year) review of the Lanark Agricultural and Forestal
District, as required in section 15.2-4311 of the Code of Virginia. The district is composed of the following
described lands, identified by parcel identification number: Tax map 90: parcels 12, 14A.; Tax map 90B:
parcel A-11.; Tax map 91: parcels 21, 21A, 31.; Tax map 102: parcels 33, 35, 35A, 35B, 35C, 37, 40,
40B, 40C.; Tax map 103: parcels 1, 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1F, 1G, 1H, 1H1, 1J, 1K, 1L, 1M, 2A, 2B, 2E, 3,
3A, 3B, 3C, 3G, 5, 9, 10A, 10B, 10D, 43, 43D, 43F, 43J, 43L, 431-1, 43M, 68 (part). The area is
designated as Rural Area in the Comprehensive Plan and the included properties are zoned RA Rural
Areas.
