HomeMy WebLinkAboutWPO202000002 Stop Work Order WPO VSMP 2021-02-05COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road, Room 227 Charlottesville, Virginia 22902-4596 Phone (434) 296-5932 Fax (434) 972-4126 February 5, 2021 Horseshoe CV LLC c/o Justin Shimp, P.E. 912 East High Street Charlottesville, VA 22902 RE: Grading Activity Started Without Obtaining Necessary Permit Parcel ID: 02900-00-00-063AO WPO-2020-00002 Erosion Control Violation STOP WORK ORDER Mr. Shimp: Under § 17-902 of the Albemarle County Code, you are hereby notified to immediately cease all land disturbing activities on the above referenced property (STOP WORK) with the exception of work to address the installation of erosion control measures, soil stabilization, and any necessary drainage corrections as approved by the County. A sworn complaint has been made by the Inspector, Kenny Thacker, who indicates that grading has taken place on the above referenced property without obtaining the appropriate permits. This STOP WORK ORDER shall remain in place for seven (7) days from the date of receipt. If satisfactory repairs have not been made within seven (7) days, the County may elect to issue another Stop Work Order, and/or petition the Circuit Court for penalties and rchcf with regard to this violation. Required Correction(s): You are hereby required to submit an Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, VESCP with appropriate fees, to the Albemarle County Department of Community Development. The plan must be reviewed, approved, performance bond posted in the amount determined by the plan approving authority, and a Certified Responsible Land Disturber (RLD) named prior to the Grading Permit being issued. 2. Install erosion control measures and stabilize the site.
