Thank you. All of Planning's comments have now been addressed. Once the Department of Health completes their
review, and assuming they have no objections, this Plat will be ready for final submittal. For final submittal we require
two hard copies printed to scale and delivered to the Community Development Department for signature.

at alan.mazurowski@vdh.virginia.gov. I sent him the applicable documents for review on March 5, 2021.

Please see my updated comments on this application. I have reviewed comment number 4 with Planning Staff today and
they agree that the applicable acreages should be shown on the plat. The ownership of the parcels does not factor into
this comment. Please revise the plat to reflect all the acreages being taken from and added to the applicable tracts. All
other comments have been addressed and the Department of Health's review is pending. Thanks!

comments appear to have been addressed, however, I would like to run comment 4 by other Staff before getting back to
you. I think tracking the acreages of the parcels for future divisions/development right implications is important, but I

Thanks for your comments on the Boundary Line Adjustment Plat of the parcels within T.M. 7-46.
Please find attached a pdf copy of the revised plat, the soils report for Revised Tract 1, containing 2.65 acres,
and the approved permit for Revised Tract 4.
Revised Tract 3 is over 5 acres and VDH approval should not be required since this is a Boundary Line
Adjustment.
The plat has been revised to reflect your comments as follows:
1. References to the existing easements are shown in notes 4, 5 & 6. There are no deed book references for
the 30' Prescriptive Easements along State Routes 601 & 687. These were established by the Byrd Acts in the
1930's.
2. The plat has been revised to label the 100' stream buffer.
3. Buck Mountain Creek is not a designated Water Supply Watershed. It is a requirement to designate
whether or not the property is located within a Water Supply Watershed. The name of the Water Supply
Watershed does not need to be listed. Please consult with the other planners on this.
4. Tract 1, Tract 3 and Tract 4 are all titled under the same ownership. Separate acreages for the adjustments
is not required.
5. The soils report for Revised Tract 1 is attached.
Please review the revised plat at your earliest convenience and let us know if it is ready for owners signatures
once we receive VDH approval.

will conflict with either the proposed drainfield and well sites or that of the currently permitted sites (Permit #: 1-1=21-

Please see my updated comments on this application. I have reviewed comment number 4 with Planning Staff today and
they agree that the applicable acreages should be shown on the plat. The ownership of the parcels does not factor into
this comment. Please revise the plat to reflect all the acreages being taken from and added to the applicable tracts. All
other comments have been addressed and the Department of Health's review is pending. Thanks!

Thanks for your comments on the Boundary Line Adjustment Plat of the parcels within T.M. 7-46.
Please find attached a pdf copy of the revised plat, the soils report for Revised Tract 1, containing 2.65 acres,
and the approved permit for Revised Tract 4.
Revised Tract 3 is over 5 acres and VDH approval should not be required since this is a Boundary Line
Adjustment.
The plat has been revised to reflect your comments as follows:
1. References to the existing easements are shown in notes 4, 5 & 6. There are no deed book references for
the 30' Prescriptive Easements along State Routes 601 & 687. These were established by the Byrd Acts in the
1930's.
2. The plat has been revised to label the 100' stream buffer.
3. Buck Mountain Creek is not a designated Water Supply Watershed. It is a requirement to designate
whether or not the property is located within a Water Supply Watershed. The name of the Water Supply
Watershed does not need to be listed. Please consult with the other planners on this.
4. Tract 1, Tract 3 and Tract 4 are all titled under the same ownership. Separate acreages for the adjustments
is not required.
5. The soils report for Revised Tract 1 is attached.
Please review the revised plat at your earliest convenience and let us know if it is ready for owners signatures
once we receive VDH approval.

Please provide soils evaluations for subsurface drainfields on all lots in accordance with Section 14-309. This information
must be included with the submittal of the final plat. Approval from the Health Director for onsite septic and wells is
required prior to final plat approval, in accordance with Section 14-310 and 14-416. A copy of the plat has been
submitted to the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) for review.

Wanted to let you know that we've had a request for outreach to a customer to let them know the process and what to
expect in terms of timelines, etc. They started with a building permit for a new home but need a BLA. The BLA came in
2/8 and was done by Brian Ray. It's assigned to Kevin McCollum.
I let our contact know that we typically interact with the applicant's rep (Brian Ray in this case). Calling the applicant,
