Yes, your calculation is accurate. As you follow the email chain, you can see that they will likely make the case that
communities like the one they are proposing do not produce that same number of students. The yield rates are a county-
wide average and do not take into account age of building, number of bedrooms or value of the property.

Hi Rosalyn & Renee,
I am working on a rezoning that is looking to do a minimum of 102 units and up to 328 multifamily units. This
development would sent students to Agnor-Hurt, Burley, and Albemarle High.
I have used ACPS official estimate generator for students at each level that ACPS sent to the applicant (see attached) and
that is as follow:
Official Calculator
Dwelling Type
Elementary
Middle
High
Total
Single-family detached
0.15

0.08
0.12
0.35
Single-family attached

0.29
Multifamily 328 units
0.12 40

Can you verify that this calculation is accurate based on the number of units proposed?

Ms. Schmitt / Ms DeVall,
I wanted to make sure that you received my email below. Is it possible to get the corresponding enrollment or
transportation data that the two apartment complexes below are generating? Something like the information
highlighted below, provided rom last year.
Thank you,

Ms. Schmitt - I am working on a rezoning in Ablemarle County for apartments near Belvedere and Dunlora. I had
talked to one of you about the actual students that are being generated by nearby apartment communities. Could
you give the number of students currently enrolled that are coming from some comparable communities in the
area? This is what I have from last year and I was hoping for something up to date.
Thank you for any help you can provide!

Also, I have attached more information about the High School Center model we briefly discussed.
