2. [32.5.2(e) & 32.6.2(j)] Landscaping features; Landscaping plan. Address the following:
a. Provide an updated Landscaping Requirements chart (from Sheet 32 in SDP2008-6),
and ensure all minimum requirements are still met.
Rev. 1: Comment not yet fully addressed. Address the following:
i. On Sheet L6.02 the previously approved landscaping chart and parking lot
tree schedule has been included. With one exception, this chart is as
previously discussed. However, then reduction of parking spaces (a net
reduction of 6 space) must be updated in the chart. It is no longer accurate
to state that 113 parking spaces were "New Parking Spaces': Since this is for
the full Minor Amendment (after LOR #2) 107 spaces should be listed and
not 113.
On Sheet L6.02 the number of "New Parking Spaces" has been reduced to
107 to account for the removal of 6 spaces.
ii. A separate Landscaping Requirements chart has been included on Sheet
L6.00, showing the "Landscape Requirements— County of Albemarle" for the
parking lot. Revise this chart as follows:
a. Revise "Project: Enslaved Burial Ground" to read instead "Project:
Enslaved Burial Ground (Changes with LOR# 2 only. See Sheet L6.02
for overall project information for SDP2008-6)".
On Sheet L6.00 the Landscape Requirements chart project title has
been updated to "Project: Burial Ground for Enslaved People
(Changes with LOR# 2 only. See sheet L6.02 for overall project
information for SDP2008-6)".
b. Remove (from Sheet L6.00 only) from the chart the lines for
"Preserved forested area." and "Total incl. Canopy Bonus (1.25
ENGINEERING I DESIGN I TECHNOLOGY
preserved area):" and "Required minimum canopy (20%of property
area):". Those three lines exist (and should remain) on L6.02. These
three lines in the chart on Sheet L6.00 are not only redundant to
what is shown on L6.02 but the values provided are also different
and therefore contradict the other provided information.
These three lines have been removed from the Landscape
Requirements chart on L6.00.
c. Add at the top of the landscaping schedule on Sheet L6.00, just
above the "QTY" and "Botanical Name" column headings, the
following: "Project: Enslaved Burial Ground —Tree additions for LOR#
2. See other sheets for additional plant schedules)".
At the top of the landscaping schedule on Sheet L6.00 the following
heading was added "Project: Burial Ground For Enslaved People —
Tree additions for LOR #2. See other sheets for additional plant
schedules.
e. Rev. 1 [New Comment]: Sheet A200 has been added to show the location of the benches,
which was requested. However, the landscaping shown does not appear to be proposed
landscaping since it shows trees in the middle of the trails in more than one location. Either
remove the landscaping from this sheet or discuss with plan reviewer.
Sheet A200 has been revised to remove the landscaping from the sheet.
[32.5.2(n)] & 32.6.2(k)] Outdoor lighting. Include a Photometric Plan that shows the
equivalent information that was provided in LOR #1 and shows any and all modifications to
the lighting and lighting locations from what was shown on the LOR #1.
Rev. 1: Comment not yet fully address the following:
a. No bollard lighting is shown on LOR# 2. Therefore, Sheet E0.0 from LOR# 1 also
needs to be updated to no longer shown that lighting fixture.
Sheet E0.0 has been added to the set with the bollard lights struck out.
b. Remove note #2 from Sheet E1.0 since lighting fixtures are no longer shown along
any of the walkways.
The referenced note has been removed.
6. [Comment] The LOR submission has also been reviewed by Engineering, ARB, and Fire
Rescue. Inspections comments are still pending. Attached please see the Engineering
comments. ARB and Fire Rescue had no objections. Inspections comments will be forwarded
to you when they are available.
Rev. 1: Comment not yet fully addressed. See the attached Engineering comments.
There were no prior ARB, Fire, or inspections comments and as such it is expected there
will be no new comments with the minor plan changes made between submissions. Per
below engineering has no further review related comments and only that the WPO plan
must be approved first which is understood. I am in the process of getting the two
signatures required on the SWPPP to obtain WPO approval so as not to hold up this
approval.
CDD Engineering —John Anderson 04-06-2021:
1. Prior comments [12/11/2020 5:52PM email] are addressed. Engineering has no objection to
LOR2 per se, but WPO202000054 approval is required prior to LOR2 Approval.
