Dovetail Design & Cabinetry is a local design firm selling design services, cabinetry, countertops,
appliances, sinks, hardware and faucets, all special -order. We meet with clients and vendors in the
showroom/ office space, and maintain a warehouse to receive and store materials before they are
delivered. There is a small work room in the warehouse where we do minor repairs to cabinetry and
countertops. We do not manufacture any materials.
We are proposing to re -design our current warehouse space at 1740 Broadway St. to include a
showroom/conference/office space. We currently lease this space and have done so since 2018.
However, with the pandemic, we have decided to economize and combine our two spaces into one.
We have 5 employees who will work in this newly designed space: 3 office employees and 2
warehouse employees.
The parcel is zoned Industrial (L-1). We have submitted a zoning clearance application, and are
submitting this information upon your request.
We have addressed the standards referenced in Section 4.14 and provided the following responses:
Noise
Our operation will not create sound or impact noise levels in excess of the values specified in Section
4.14.1. Our space is located within a larger shared warehouse space and is surrounded by walls.
Any noise we produce is limited to a rarely -used carpentry tools. Noise in the showroom/office is limited
to music, phones and human voices.
Vibration
Equipment operated within the work room does not produce any detectable earthborn vibration.
Glare
Our operation is completely contained within the building. The interior lighting associated with this
operation does not produce glare that is visible beyond the lot line.
Air Pollution
There will be no emission of smoke, odor or gaseous pollutants.
Water Pollution
No industrial liquid wastes will be generated by this operation, therefore our operation will not present a
hazard to water quality.
