Yes the smoke will start sounding and then it stops which the loud alarm is still going. I was told just as long as the unit starts it sounding and the level of DB was loud meaning the sirens you where ok. If, they have a problem then they have changed there policy and didn't let the correct people know. I've have customers install simple battery operated smokes that sound in the room but doesn't signal to the next room and they have passed. You should be good because there is enough sound produced to wake anyone up. There is another option and that would mean you have to replace the main unit and the devices. I want you not to have to do that if you don't have too. If you have any other questions call me if you need to. My number is 434-531-0376. Keep me posted. Thanks for installing the smoke detectors. I do have a question as to how it works. As I mentioned, the goal was to satisfy the county for our homestay application. They're going to want to make sure that the alarms all talk to each other. It appears, when I tested yesterday, that when one of the four new ones goes off, it squaks at that detector, and it sets off the main alarm (and will activate the call from Mechums) but it does not setoff any of the other smoke detectors. I know when I have the county come back they are going to tell me that it is not good enough (yeah, even though the main alarm is loud, they will want all of them to squak). What can be done to fix this? Thanks, JT On Mon, Apr 12, 2021 at 2:40 PM Travis Toms <travis@mechumsriversecurity.com> wrote: Perfect! See you Friday Thanks Travis Toms
