THIS DEED made this 2nd day of February, 1976 by and
between MARY VIRGINIA DOGGETT and WAYLAND A. DOGGETT, JR., her
husband, parties of the first part, and FRED WAYNE SHIFFLETT and
BARBARA SMITH SHIFFLETT, husband and wife, parties of the second
part, and RAYMOND L. SPRADLIN and WILMA H. SPRADLIN, husband and i
wife, parties of the third part,
W I T N E S S E T H
WHEREAS, William A. Meemaw died testate, a resident of
the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 24, 1974,
seised and possessed of the hereinafter described real estate;
and '
WHEREAS, by his last will and testament dated December 1

26, 1967, duly admitted to probate in the Clerk's Officeof the
Circuit Court of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, on
I
September 10, 1974 and spread in Will Book 18, page 428, the said
William A. Moomaw devised the hereinafter described property to
his daughter, Mary Virginia Doggett, of the parties of the first 1

part;
NOW THEREFORE, THISDEED FURTHER WITNESSETH, that for j
and in consideration of the sum of TEN DOLLARS (610.00) cash in
hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and other
good and valuable consideration, the parties of the first part i
hereby GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL and CONVEY WITH GENERAL WARRANTY and
ENGLISH COVENANTS OF TITLE unto Fred Wayne Shifflett and Barbara
Smith Shifflett, husband and wife, as tenants by the entirety

with the right of survivorship as at common law and not as
tenants in common, all that certain tract or parcel of land
situated north of State Route 620 and west of Buck Island Creek

in the Scottsville Magisterial District of Albemarle County,
Virginia containing 29.456 acres as more particularly shown on

a plat made by R. 0. Snow and Associates, C.L.S., dated January
29, 1976 attached to and made a part of this deed; being a
portion of the tract containing 100.5 acres more or less, which
by deed of N.A. Moomaw,
was conveyed to the said William A. Moomaw, Nr./and Otho A.
Moomaw, Executors of the estate of Emma A. Moomaw, deceased,
dated September 12, 1972 of record in the Clerk's Office afore-
said in Deed Book 515, page 397.
The parties of the third part, contract purchasers
under an unrecorded contract dated October 9, 1975 having sold
said property to the parties of the second part, unite in this
,t deed to direct the conveyance of said property to the parties of
the second part and do hereby RELFASE said parties of the first
itpast from any and all obligations thereunder.
