It has to be mailed back to the entity or person that sent it for recordation.That's part of the rules.The Albemarle County Clerk's Office can be very slow in returning documents and they charge for copies and will not scan or email them to you.You can, however, send someone to the clerk's office to get a copy. As far as I know the quitclaim has not been returned to Dominion. Kellee is very efficient and she will send out copies of the recorded document if requested and she will mail the original back to me. Our understanding is that there is not and so there is no reason it cannot be vacated now but we need you all to confirm so we can move forward with the site plan that locates the corner of the new buildingin that easement. In order to get the site plan approved we need written documentation from you that the road wall and building can be constructed in the easements as shown. See those comments below: [32.5.1(c)]The proposed building and a proposed retaining wall are within an existing VEPCO easement(DB 424 PG 4340). Prior to final site plan approval provide written documentation from the easement holder that the proposed improvements are permitted within the easement.
