I was advised to pass it through your office before sending it to the applicant. Would you like to review it before sending? If so, please see the doc version of the disapproval attached, in addition to the submitted plat. The disapproval, in this case, is being driven by the subject parcel's enrollment in an ag/forestall district. Scott Clark reviewed the plan and, in his comments, noted that the proposed boundary line adjustment could not be approved in accordance with Sec. 3-202. For the plat to be approvable, all resulting parcels would need to be at least 21 acres in size. Both parcels in this plat are well below 21 acres. Please note, this plat will hit 60-days on 6/18, so we will need to take an action before then. Per State Code, the County has 60 days to review new submittals (e.g. until 6/18 based on the submittal date of this application on 4/19). Due to high work volume and staffing shortages, I anticipate being able to get back to you the first week of June. That said, we find it typically takes 2- 3 review rounds before a plat is ready to be signed and approved. The later rounds usually have shorter turn-arounds, but the timing is also somewhat dependent on how quickly your surveyor is able to effectively address staff comments and submit a revised plat.
