Can this be sufficient for site plan approval while still ensuring they do this before full land disturbance? Just let me know either way and I will pass on to the owner so they can start planning. Thank you, Jonathan From: Christopher Perez<cperez@albemarle.org> Sent:Tuesday, February 26, 2019 7:42 AM To:Jonathan Showalter<Jonathan.Showalter@timmons.com> Subject: RE: Lighhouse Instruments Jonathan, Below is a snip from the VDH letter, while they recommended approval of the initial site plan, they also required the well abandonment to go through them prior to land disturbance. Thus prior to final site plan approval the well abandonment procedure shall be acted on by VDH. As requested by your department, I have reviewed the subject site plan, dated 3/5/18, for compliance with VDH regulations. It appears that all proposed construction is to connect to ACSA water and sewer systems of which I have no comments or concerns. Regarding the existing residence and accessory structures, I can find no septic or well records on file. Sheet C2.0 shows what may be a symbol for a private well, near the SE corner of the mobile home, however there's no reference to that symbol in the legend on Sheet C 1.0. If indeed there are any wells, it (they) must be abandoned in accordance with 12VAC5-630-450 of the Private Well Regulations prior to any land disturbance in those locations. Please note well abandonment on this property will require permitting through the Charlottesville/Albemarle Health Department. In the event there is an existing onsite sewage disposal system within the area to be developed, I strongly recommend any septic tanks be located and abandoned. While this activity does not require a VDH permit, our office can provide instruction on proper abandonment procedures. What if anything do we still need to coordinate with VDH to review and approve? If that is still necessary can you provide me the contact information for the best person to reach out to?
