that synthetic stucco is
acceptable for signs if
mounted on a solid such as
concrete block and if
limited to use as a flat
surface as a background for
lettering. Include a sign
construction detail
indicating this requirement
is being adhered to.

regardless of the material
to which it is attached.
However, the condition
where the sign meets the
ground must be addressed.

material (not EIFS) must
be provided at the base
unless the sign is located in
a landscape bed whose
design avoids potential
maintenance issues of EIFS
at the ground.
