Maliszewski County of Albemarle Chief of Planning/Resource Management 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902-4596 RE:ARB-2018-144 Old Trail Village Entry Signage and ARB-2018-145: Old Trail Village Entry Lighting Dear Margaret, Please find attached the revised plans. The plans have been revised to address the comments in accordance with the following: ARB 1. Materials have been identified on the sign drawing,but colors have not.Please update the sign drawing(Sheet A.I)to identify the proposed sign colors. RESPONSE: Color and material samples to be submitted by Architect. 2. Color/material samples have not been provided. Please submit them for review. RESPONSE: Color and material samples to be submitted by Architect. 3. The color/finish of the ground-mounted light fixture has not been identified. Please update the cut sheet and/or sign drawingsto indicate the color/finish forthe ground-mounted sign lights. RESPONSE: All lights will be bronze anodized. Note has been added to the plans. 4. The maximum lumens emitted by the ground-mounted fixtures is not indicated in the submittal. An on-line chat with the light manufacturer indicated that the lamp emits 302 lumens. If your understanding is otherwise, please contact me. RESPONSE: 302 Lumens is correct. The calculations on the plans have been revised. 5. Much of the information on the submitted drawings is too small to read,including the photometric values.Please provide the drawings at a size that is scale-able and legible. Jsc4 44f vinimmiumum RESPONSE: The plans have been resized to fit on 11x17 format. 6. Clearly identifythe property lines on both photometric plans. RESPONSE: Property lines have been added to the plans. 7. On the photometric plan that identifies the street light locations,add information to clarify the location of the illustrated street segment.(Is that the north end of the median at the Rt.250 entrance in the lower right corner?) RESPONSE: The correct light plan will be submitted with this review. 8. On the landscape plan,show that existing wooded areas are not impacted by the proposed development. RESPONSE: Location of natural tree line has been field located by RGA survey and ' reflected on the architect's submittal of the landscape plan. The limits of disturbance and tree protection coincide with the Landscape Plan submitted by the architect. A note will be added stating that existing wooded areas will not be impacted by proposed development.
