For ARB review, taking longer than 60 days is not a big deal. Just keep me updated on the status.

Margaret,
Thank you for the information. What happens if we get close to the 60 days and we are not ready to submit? Do I need
to request for an extension or anything?

Jason,
In response to your questions:
1. The note must appear on the plans. Adding the note means that you are confirming that new equipment will not
be visible from Rt. 29.
6. I sent you the wrong site plan amendment application link. This is the correct one. It is for a Letter of Revision,
which is like a minor, minor amendment. You will need to submit the completed application, the fee, and the items
listed under"submittal requirements". A coworker is in the process of determining which site plan you will be
amending. I will send that information as soon as it is available.
Emailed PDFs are fine. You may submit within 60 days.
Thanks.
Margaret

Good morning Margaret,
Thank you for your time and plan review. We will issue a revision and address your comments but I do have some

Dear Jason,
We have received the above-noted application for a county-wide Certificate of Appropriateness. The following revisions
are requested to make the proposal consistent with the design criteria that apply to the County-wide Certificate.

♦ 1. Add the standard mechanical equipment note to the drawings: "Visibility (II all mechanical equipment from the
Entrance Corridor shall be eliminated." All we need to do is add a note to plans or do we need to do a site line
study to determine if any units need to be screened?
2. Add the standard lighting note to the drawings: "Each outdoor luminaire equipped with a lamp that emits 3,000 or
more initial lumens shall be a full cutoff luminaire and shall be arranged or shielded to reflect light away from
adjoining residential districts and away from adjacent roads. The spillover of lighting from luminaires onto public
roads and property in residential or rural areas zoning districts shall not exceed one-halffootcandle. "
3. The photometric plan must be calculated using an LLF of 1.0 to meet County policies.
4. Revise the light fixture to eliminate the refractive lens.
5. Revise the light fixture to use a lamp with a color temperature between 2000K and 3000K.
6. Note that a minor site plan amendment is required for this proposal. For this, all you need is the application for
major or minor site plan amendment or other documents required, i.e.. 8 or 16 additional sets plans pending which
category we fall under. Is the calculation based on soil disturbance to determine whether we are major or minor
category?
7. Note that the wall sign is not approved with this application. A separate application is required, but preliminary
comments are provided for your use: we are not submitting for signage approval as part of this review, signage
documents will be submitted by Hobby Lobby at a later time for review and approval.
a. The sign appears overscaled. A letter height to sign band proportion of 1/3 to 2/3 or '/< to '/a is generally
considered appropriate.
b. Sign colors are subject to review. On the sign drawings, be sure to provide the Pantone color equivalents
for all proposed sign colors.
Please respond by email within 15 days of the date of this letter indicating whether you will or will not proceed with these
revisions.Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60-day review period associated with your original submittal.
If you choose to complete the revisions, please email the revised drawings to me. If changes other than those requested
are made, clearly outline those changes in a memo accompanying your submittal. If you choose not to proceed with
these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your application. Failure to respond to this letter shall be presumed to be a
request to proceed to action on the application without further revisions. To clarify, no hard copies are required, just email
you our revisions? Do we have 60 days to submit our revision?
If you have any questions about this action, please contact me as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Margaret Maliszewski
