Re: SUB202100083 Flordon Block C Lots 17A and 21 Boundary Line Adjustment Plat — First Review Comments
The County of Albemarle Planning Division will grant or recommend approval of the plat referenced above
once the following comments have been addressed: [Each comment is preceded by the applicable reference,
which is to the Subdivision/Zoning Ordinances unless otherwise specified.]
1. [Sec. 14-202.1] Provide owners notarized signature when final copies are submitted for County signature and
approval. Rev. 1: Comment noted by applicant. Signature copies of plat will have notarized owner
signatures.
2. [Sec. 14-303 (A)] Please revise the statement of consent to division so that they state the TMP number for each
parcel. A statement that: "The platting or dedication of the following described land [insert a correct description of
the land subdivided] is with the free consent and in accordance with the desire of the undersigned owners,
proprietors and trustees, if any." Rev. 1: Comment addressed.
3. [Sec. 14-309] The subdivider shall submit to the agent with each final plat the results of percolation tests or other
methods of soil evaluation used to determine the suitability of the soil for subsurface drainfields, if conventional
onsite sewage systems are proposed to be used in the development of the subdivision, and the results are
requested by the agent. These results shall be forwarded by the agent to the health director. Rev. 1: Comment
addressed, see attached VDH approval letter.
4. [Sec. 14-310] Health director approval of individual private wells and/or onsite sewage systems is required prior
to approval of the BLA. Rev. 1: Comment addressed. see attached VDH approval letter.
S. [Sec. 14-312] The subdivider shall submit with the final plat a survey showing the location of all existing buildings
on the land to be subdivided within fifty (50) feet of a proposed lot line or a proposed street. Rev. 1: Comment
addressed.
6. [Sec. 14-314] The subdivider shall submit, prior to or with the final plat, a plan which shows all rights -of -way,
easements or other interests of the county or any authority within the subdivision that would be terminated and
extinguished by recordation of the final plat, as provided in section 14-433. Rev. 1: Comment addressed.
7. [Sec. 14-416] If any lot will be less than five (5) acres for a subdivision for which public water and/or public
sewerage service is not reasonably available as provided in section 14-414, and for which a central water supply
and/or a central sewerage system is not authorized under section 14-415, shall be served by individual private

wells or onsite sewage systems, or both, and shall meet all requirements of the health department and be
approved by the health director. Rev. 1: Comment addressed, see attached VDH approval letter.

RE: Review of Proposed Subdivision Plat as part of a Boundary Line Adjustment involving Lots 17A & 21 of the
Flordon Subdivision located in Albemarle County, Virginia.
Dear Mr. Langille:
On June 21, 2021, the County of Albemarle requested the Virginia Department of Health (via the Albemarle County Health
Department) review the proposed subdivision plat identified above. This letter is to inform you that the above referenced
subdivision plat is approved in accordance with the provisions or the Code of Virginia, the Servage Handling and Disposal
Regulations, and local ordinances.
Pursuant to § 360 of the Regulations this approval is not an assurance that Sewage Disposal System Construction Permits will be
issued for any lot in the subdivision identified above unless that lot is specifically identified on the above referenced plat as
having an approved site for an onsite sewage disposal system, and unless all conditions and circumstances are present at the time
of application for a permit as are present at the time of this approval. This subdivision may contain lots that to do not have
approved sites for onsite sewage systems.
This boundary line adjustment does pertain to the requirements of local ordinances.
