Hi Cameron,
This addresses all comments. Please submit four (4) hard copies of the LOR drawings, including the lighting fixture
manufacturer detail sheets, for County signature and approval. I've attached the manufacturer detail sheets that were
submitted on a previous review. To make it easy, you can just shrink those and put them as exhibits on a larger piece of
paper behind the photometric plan. That way you don't have to print 11 sheets for each of the four LOR signature sets.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Good Morning Cameron,
The lighting vendor has revised the photometric plans based on your previous feedback to not provide more than 0.5
footcandles across the property line. Can you please review the attached and let me know at your earliest convenience if
this is acceptable to tie -off the revision for the alternate light fixtures?

Hi Cameron,
Thanks for sending this to me. I circled three areas on the plan in red that appear to have footcandle measurements
higher than 0.5 extending across the property lines. Take a loot at the attached PDF. Our Ordinance only allows a
maximum of 0.5 footcandles at the property lines, and measurements extending beyond that must be below 0.5.
Can you verify that those readings are accurate? If so, then the lights will need to be shifted so the measurements meet
Ordinance requirements.
Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks,

Hi Cameron,
Yes, I have the LOR. I have reviewed it, and here are my comments:
1. [General Comment] Revised lighting plan PDF received by the County has portions of the drawing cut-off
(drawing is sideways, please see attached PDF). Please submit a revised drawing that shows all edges of the
sheet.
2. [General Comment] Please add a title to the LOR exhibit. It should state "Letter of Revision #1 —
SDP201900049."
3. [4.17.4 (a)] Please add a note to each drawing that states "Each outdoor luminaire equipped with a lamp that
emits 3,000 or more maximum lumens must be a full cutoff luminaire and must be arranged or shielded to
reflect light away from adjoining residential districts and away from adjacent roads."
4. [4.17.4 (b)] Add a note to each drawing that states `The spillover of lighting from luminaires onto public roads
and property in residential or rural areas zoning districts must not exceed one-half footcandle."
5. [4.17] Please update the photometric notes on the LOR drawing so that it indicates what Light Loss Factor (LLF)
was used to calculate the footcandle measurements shown. Albemarle County requires an LLF of 1.0 to be used
when calculating footcandle measurements. Currently, the plan does not indicate what LLF was used.
Once you've made the revisions, just email me a copy of the drawing and I will take a look to verify the comments have
been addressed.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and have a great weekend.

Hi Cameron,
This addresses all comments.

Hi Cameron,
Yes, I have the LOR.
It should state "Letter of Revision #1—

Thanks Cameron. I received an automated email notification that the LOR application was submitted to us through the
web portal. My intake staff will do the processing on our end and put the application into our system. It will be
assigned to a lead reviewer next Tuesday who will manage the review/approval. That will almost certainly be me.
I will follow up with you next week if there are any questions. Thanks,

Hi Cameron,
This addresses all comments.

It should state "Letter of Revision #1—

It should state "Letter of Revision #1—
Once you've made the revisions, just email me a copy of the drawing and I will take a look to verify the comments have

currently under review and when we might get any approval/feedback?
Thanks as always, and have a nice weekend!
Sincerely,
Cameron Morgan, PE

Thanks Cameron. I received an automated email notification that the LOR application was submitted to us through the
web portal. My intake staff will do the processing on our end and put the application into our system. It will be
assigned to a lead reviewer next Tuesday who will manage the review/approval. That will almost certainly be me.
I will follow up with you next week if there are any questions. Thanks,
Cameron
