RE: ARB-2017-72: Hollymead Town Center Hotel (Comfort Inn and Suites)
To whom it may concern,
Please see the revised elevations in response to your comments dated September 5, 2017:
1. Increase the quantity of stone and or masonry in the building and establish a masonry base along
the building. Please see the revised elevations. We have increased the amount of masonry and run it
along the length of the building.
2. Revise detailing of the western bay of the north elevation to achieve greater consistency with the rest
of the elevation. Please see the revised elevations.
3. We have revised the finish legend on the elevations to show the difference between the Hardie
Board and EIFS. The labels on the elevations differentiate between the two materials.
4. See the revised elevations. The dimension line extends to the top of the parapet.
5. All glass will meet the required limits.
6. See revised plans. Visible light transmittance shall not drop below 40% and visible light reflectance
Will not exceed 30%.
7. Comment noted. See revised plans. The louvre over the ptac cover will be sawdust in color.
8. See Roof Plan submitted. The mechanical equipment and elevator tower will be both screened by
the building parapet and Hardie board screens that will be sawdust in color.
9. See site plans
10. Comment noted. All mechanical equipment will be screened by the Building parapet or Hardie
Board fencing.
Thank you for your comments regarding this project. We hope that we have satisfied any concerns you
might have. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me .
Yours truly,
