ALBEWLE COUNTY PLANNING COMSSION
MINUTES OF AEETING OF BOARD
September 25th , 1M
Mrs. Smith, the Chairman, called this meeting in o7.der
to make plans for obtaining information about approximate cost'of
zoning work? as it was the unanimous decision of every member
of the board that the county should be zoned.
The Secretary was instructed to write a letter to
Mr. Long of the State Planning Board and ask him if he had any
idea of the approximate cost of employing a technical expert
to get the necessary information together as well as the length
of time it would take to do this work. Mr. Randolph suggested
that we might get a returning serviceman to handle the job,
but it was felt that it might be too long before the paper
man could be located.
It was also suggested that the secretary write
Loudoin County and ask them what the work on their zoning project
cost. Mrs. Nunnally was also instructed to write the Dean of
err the Engineering School, W. S. Rodman, to inquire if he had
a student available who might help with this work. A letter
was to be written to Mr. C. F. Nichol of the University to
ask wha$ information his department had available that would
be helpful on this project.
The above information was to be submitted at the
next meeting, so the Planning Commission could attend the
meeting of the Board of Supervisors on Oct. 17th, and request
a definite amount of money from them for the purpose of paying
a technical axpert to get the necessary data for the zoning
project.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned.
Secretary.
