Mr. Shppherd is to continue to follow this subject and work with other interested groups. Communication from V.r. Tayloe on fire prevention read.. Mrs. Chamberlain read letters from Augusta and Henrico countias outlining briefly their methods of providing fire protection in tho county. Letters to be made a part of these minutes. Mrs. Chamberlain was asked to write again. to Augusta county and get their operating and maintenance costs. Also, to write to the State Fire Marshall in Richmond and ask for details of a county plan for fire protection. Mrs. Simmons brought the proposal that the commission's study of taxation be combined with other groups, fL.e., the League of .Women Voters and the Farm Bureau, as well as the Charlottesville Planning Commission. Interest in working together was expressed by these groups Mr. Bair. recommended that the proposal be referred . to our taxation committee. 5�c r,= Mrs. Smith reported on the meeting of the s#*-committee on zoning. Details of wording on subject of junk yards hog farms, abbattoirs etc. is to be worked out further by committee after meeting with Yr. B--ryes and Mr. Turner at next meeting.
