The regular meeting of +he plfinnin-q comm'ssion was held in the County
Board Koom a+ 9:45 a.m. if was or)ened with prayer by the chairman,
,"r. Bain. Other members orosent were Vessrs. jrshnson., avloe, 8i rdsonq,
Shepherd, Robi neon, Randolph and Via and Mrs. �Immnn. Inv; fer♦
guesf, Mr. Speck.
The minutes of meeting- of December 10fh were rears and accepted.
FoIIowinq discussion of sub -division requIa+ions to be proposed by
the Charlo++osviIle City CouneiI, k4r. Shepherd moved that +he commission
recommend continued f avorahl e study by our commi ttee.comon sed of Mr.
Shepherd and Dr. Birdsong. Passed.
Mr. Robinson recommended that vv,, ask sub -division do_ve.l opens to read
regulations and :dive us +*heir opinions.
Mrs. Simmons was instructed to see Dr. Sturkie of the M ate Health
Department and ask for information is to sire of lots necessary for
Proper sanlfation facilities under varvinq circumcfance.s; i.e., when
city water and sewage disposal are provided; when neither one is pro-
vided; when one or the other is provided.
Mir. Robinson recommended that the Commonwealth Attorney's office and
the State Health Department be represented at anv public meetings we
hold on zoning.
Chairman appointed Mr. Johnson new chairman of +he Zoning Commitfee to
replace Mrs. Smith who has asked to be relieved. 0fhor members of +he
Zoning Committee are: Mrs. Smith and Mrs. SimmonsDr. Co,,oerMessrs.

Chairman appointed Mr. Via to Education Committee and if -as recommended
that he make two addi +ional appointments to thi s Comm; fteo before the
