PARTIAL RELEASE OF EASEMENT
This Partial Release of Easement ("Release") is and made as of this t e-day of August,
2021 by Virginia Telegraph and Telephone Company d/b/a CenturyLink ("CenturyLink").
A. Wendell W. Wood and Mrs. Wendell W. Wood (collectively, "Wood") signed as
grantor that certain Easement dated March 8, 1973 ("Easement"), whereby Wood granted
easement rights to Virginia Telephone and Telegraph Company, its successors and assigns, over
certain property owned by Wood and described in the Easement ("Easement Tract'). The
Easement was filed of record on March 9, 1973 in the Albemarle Circuit Court Clerk's Office in
Book 524, Page 645. A copy of the Easement is attached to this Release as Exhibit A and
incorporated by reference into this Release.
B. Commercial Rentals LLC currently owns the Easement Tract, which property is
now identified on the current tax maps of Albemarle County as tax map parcel 045B 1-05-OA-
01100, and now contains 0.70 acres, more or less, this property is located on US Highway 29
North and is a division of Block A Section D of "Carrsbrook", Lot 10A and a portion of Lot
10C. The Easement covers underground utility facilities. Commercial Rentals LLC has requested

that CenturyLink relinquish the rights granted to it in the Easement with respect to a portion of
said Easement. CenturyLink is willing to so relinquish such rights pursuant to this Release.
RELEASE:
As of the date CenturyLink signs this Release, and for good and valuable consideration,
the receipt and sufficiency of which are acknowledged, CenturyLink hereby vacates and releases
all of its right, title, and interest in that portion of the Easement Tract 20 feet in width along the
length of the southern border of the Easement Tract for a length of 180.74 feet, as shown and
labeled as "Released Easement Tract" on Exhibit B attached to and incorporated by reference
into this Release ("Released Easement Tracn. All of CenturyLink's right, title and interest in
and to any and all easements and easement rights acquired by CenturyLink pursuant to the
Easement and in any real property outside of the Released Easement Tract (if any) remain and
are not affected by this Release.
