Pohl APPROVED County Engineer by the Albemarle County Community Development Department Albemarle County Date 08/26/21 Department of Community Development File wP0201500047 RE: The Pants Project "Darken Pond" — As -Built Certification Letter Dear Mr. Pohl, I have performed the necessary surveys and inspections on the stormwater Wet Pond at "The Pants Project", TMP 57-87, 57-90, 58-17 & 58-18. I can confirm that the proposed wet pond has been constructed in a manner that meets the overall goal of the SWM Plan for this project. The pond was constructed at an overall lower elevation than proposed. The total depth and storage of the pond is greater than what was proposed. An as -built analysis of the pond has determined that the conditions will release stormwater from the 1-yr and 10-yr storms at flows below those proposed and therefore below the energy balance equation requirements. The variations in construction from the approved plans are summarized below. • Top of Dam constructed 2.23-ft below proposed elevation • Bottom of pond constructed 4.54-ft below proposed elevation • Total depth of pond constructed to 11.31-ft rather than the 9-ft proposed depth • Emergency Spillway constructed with a depth 1.41-ft below the top of dam instead of 1-ft • Top of standpipe constructed 3.25-ft below top of dam instead of 2-ft below • 7x12" rectangular orifice constructed on standpipe instead of 8" round orifice.
