Brich, P.E. 1401 East Broad Street Commissioner Richmond, Virginia 23219 June 10, 2021 Frank Pohl County of Albemarle Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902 (804)786-2701 Fax: (804)786-2940 Re: SUB-2021-00046- Jarmans Gap Development TMP 55-77A1 — RP Rev. #2 Dear Mr. Pohl: The Department of Transportation, Charlottesville Residency Transportation and Land Use Section, has reviewed the above referenced Jarmans Gap Development TMP 55-77A1 — Road Plan, as submitted by Collins Engineering, dated April 24, 2021 and find the following: 1. The Secondary Street Acceptance Requirements (SSAR) call for a second connection for a development of this size. An approved connection, stub or approved waiver is required prior to plan approval. 2. Drainage channel from existing 24" RCP to proposed 24" HDPE appears to utilize a portion of the adjacent parcel TMP 55-77A. a. Rip Rap stone does not appear centered on the channels. Easement may be required from adjacent parcel. b. Existing PED appears to be in the channel and may need to be relocated. 3. Road detail for Tilley Court (sheet 5) appears to be for a 29' EP to EP and road plans shows a 20' width. Please make the plan view and detail match.
