The following comments need to be addressed: Sheet 1 1. Place P.E. stamp on all sheets; original stamp and signature required on the first sheet. 2. Provide two sets of paper copies for final approval. 3. Flow acceptance from the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority (RWSA) will be required. A formal request has been submitted to their office for review. Sheet 3 1. Can we get the fire hydrant at the entrance located on the right side of the roadway between the curb and sidewalk? 2. The existing meter should be pulled back closer to the existing water main due to the evergreen canopy. Also, the existing meter falls outside of an easement. If relocation of the meter isn't planned, additional easement will need to be granted to the ACSA. 3. Place the second fire hydrant in front of the sidewalk. 4. Place water meter for Lot 5 along Jarmans Gap Road off the 8-inch diameter water main behind the sidewalk. 5. Has the developer been in communication with the owner of TMP 55-77A about extending public sewer to that parcel? Now would be the time before the roadway is constructed. 6. Test digs along the existing water main required to determine horizontal and vertical locations. Sheet 7 1. Sanitary sewer lateral crossing the existing water main must be ductile iron if it crosses above the water main. 2. Show water main crossings on storm profiles. 3. ACSA will not allow the existing water main to be installed at a depth greater than about 8 feet due to the difficulty in accessing and maintaining it in the future. If the grades cannot be adjusted accordingly, a segment of the water main will need to be relocated.
