Stacey 3004 Hydraulic Road Lot 1 Charlottesville, Virginia 22901 RE: Triangle Trailer Court Dear Mr. Stacey: Please be advised that this office represents G. Benton Patterson. By letter dated July 12, 1988, received by G. Benton Patterson on July 14, 1988, Mr. John T. P. Horne, Director of Planning and Community Development of Albemarle County, Virginia, directed Mr. Patterson to consider the prior approval to connect to public sewer null and void because certain mobile homes in the Triangle Trailer Court fronting on Route 743 had not been removed as required by the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County. I later talked with Mr. Horne on Mr. Patterson' s behalf, and Mr. Horne agreed to hold this lack of authority in abeyance until July 29 , 1988, on condition that the mobile homes in question be moved as previously directed by the Board of Supervisors . On July 17 , 1987 , you were notified by this office to commence the removal of the aforementioned mobile homes by September 1, 1987 . In that letter you were told of the requirements placed upon Mr. Patterson by the Board of Supervisors , and a copy of that letter was enclosed for your information. Later, on August 13, 1987, this office again contacted you about the removal of those mobile homes and extended the time for removal of all of said mobile homes to September 15, 1987 . James F. Stacey PAGE II 18 July 1988 You apparently disregarded our letter of July 17 and August 13, 1987 and failed and refused to have said trailers removed. On July 14, after receiving Mr. Horne ' s letter, Mr. Patterson again talked to you and told you at that time that said mobile homes had to be moved and that he was going to hold you responsible for any damage the failure to remove said trailers might cause. Mr. Patterson talked to you again on July 18, 1988 about the removal of these mobile homes . However, as of this time, you have not had those mobile homes removed as instructed by the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County. We do not know who the tenants are in these mobile homes nor do we know who owns them. However, we do know that you have had more than sufficient time to give proper notice and have these mobile homes removed. Now time is running out. Accordingly, you are hereby directed to immediately remove all mobile homes fronting on Route 743 as previously instructed by the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County. I don' t know what legal ramifications you might have between you and your tenants but that ' s between you and your tenants as you have had more than sufficient time to cause the removal of said mobile homes . On July 18, 1988, Mr. Patterson also talked with Ms . Sue Lane of the Department of Planning and Community Development of Albemarle County. She requests that you give her copies of the removal notices submitted to the tenants under rental subsidies . Unless these mobile homes are removed immediately you will be held personally responsible to Mr. Patterson. Sincerely yours , / 624a, / Charles R. Haugh CRH: eb James F.
