Mr. Bain request- ed that VDoT consider non-single occupant vehicle or mass transit lanes in terms of right of way in future planning. He also asked VDoT to determine from the City' s plans for McIntire Road (Meadow Creek Parkway) whether their funds have been moved around for that project. Concerning plans for the upgrading of Route 250 East, the Board agreed that the crossover requested by businesses at Pantops should not be located on Route 250 East from Elks Drive into the Pantops Shopping Center. Also, the Board had no objection to asking VDoT to consider including mast arm signals along Route 250 East instead of string lights as well as landscaping. The Board asked that VDoT inform the County of any additional costs this design might entail. Mr. Lindstrom requested that staff review new legislation on corridor design regarding what, the County could require in its ordinance and report to the Board on September 13 . Agenda Item No. 7. Property located between the C&O Railway and Route 240, approx. one-half mile west of intersec- tion of Route 240 and Route 250; a smaller piece of the property is located on the north side of Route 240 between Route 240 and Route 802.
