Subject: Field Density Test Results
Glenmore Section S-5
Albemarle County,Virginia
JOB CODE: 3170
Dear Mr. Cohen:
Shown in the enclosed table are the results of field density test numbers 187 through 215 our
firm ran on compacted fill at the referenced site. All tests either passed the required compaction
of 95% optimum density according to ASTM D-698 or, where tests were low; the areas were
rerolled and retested until the requirements were met. The moisture was kept within specified
moisture parameters. The field density testing was performed with Troxler nuclear gauges in
accordance with ASTM D-2922. These tests were performed in fill areas as shown on plans
provided to our firm and located in the field by others. The scope of our services does not
include surveying. Our test locations are based on information provided and staked out by
others. Thus,we cannot be responsible for inaccurate locations.
We trust this is the information you need. If you have any questions, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Gooch Engineering&Testing,Inc.
