HomeMy WebLinkAboutZMA202000011 Correspondence 2020-10-08Albemarle County Community Development Virtual Community Meeting Letter October 9, 2020 RE: ZMA202000011 — Premier Apartments Community Meeting — UPDATED VIRTUAL MEETING LINKS VIA ZOOM Dear Neighbor, Piedmont Housing Alliance ("PHA," the applicant) and Virginia Supportive Housing ("VSH," developer along with PHA), invite you to share comments and ask questions regarding our request for a zoning map amendment (rezoning) of the current Red Carpet Inn property on the north side of U.S. Route 29. The property is currently zoned C-1 Commercial, and we propose rezoning to NMD Neighborhood Model Development. VSH and PHA desire to redevelop the 3.75 acre parcel in a two -block phased project that would include 80 units of supportive housing operated by VSH and 60 units of mixed -income housing developed by PHA on Block Two, and a non-residential or mixed -use building on the aproximately one -acre Block One fronting Route 29. Overall residential density proposed is 37 dwelling units per acre with 5,000-20,000 square feet of commercial space on Block One. This proposed project is located at 405 Premier Circle, Charlottesville, VA 22901, on Tax Map Parcel 61 MO-00-00-00600. To help prevent the transmission of COVID-19, we invite you to ask questions and share comments about the proposed project, County review procedures, and relevant regulations and policies of the County applicable to the proposed project at a virtual community meeting. The virtual meeting will be held through a online video stream on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 5:30 PM — 7:00 PM.
