RE: Jefferson Heights Cottages;ARB Resubmission
Please allow this package of information to serve as our resubmission for consideration of the above project by the
ARB for a certificate of appropriateness. We hope you find our documentation in order. The Applicant,Vito
Cetta,will be providing a written affirmative response to comment#9 of your letter dated November 25,2002.
The balance of the comments(1-10)have been addressed on our plans as outlined below Together,this
information,we hope,will suffice to enable the board to respond to our request. We thank you for your
assistance with our application.
1. The Applicant has agreed to match the same brick selection used in Phase 1 on both the cottages and
retaining walls as applicable. Any change to that specification it will require ARB review and approval
2 The retaining wall height has been reduced/altered to accommodate the concerns of both staff and board
members Please refer to Sheet 5 and detail sheets.
3. We understood that a photometric plan would not be required based on the our November 21st
conversation which explained that the fixtures themselves are similar to a residential driveway fixture and
Zoning has already stated that they would not require one from us.However,details of both the luminaire
and pole are included on the plans so you may have the opportunity to review them for aesthetic purposes.
Please refer to Sheet 15 for the details and Sheet 10 for the lamp type located in the Luminaire Schedule.
4. The Demolition Plan has been revised.Please see Sheet 13.
5 Sheets 10&11 indicate the fencing to be used around the mechanical equipment
6. The Plant List has been reviewed and revised accordingly.See Sheet 11.In addition to the Plant List a
Transplanted Plant List has been added to Sheet 11 identifymg those plants being transplanted in Phase 1 to
accommodate the construction on Phase 2
7 See Note#14 on Sheet 11 that indicates the particular trees that shall not be transplanted in the fall
8. See Sheet 2 for the signed Tree Conservation Checklist.See Sheet 18 for the locations that the conservation
checklist measures will be implemented.
10. Plans were checked for conflicts between utilities and landscaping and needed resolutions made.
