Talbert & Bright is in receipt of the County's plan review comments dated July 7, 2021.
Enclosed for the County's continued review and approval is the revised site plan. Please find
below an itemized response to the review comments (responses in italics):
Planning Division — Kevin McCollum 7-7-2021
1. [32.5.2 (s)] Please add the application number, SDP202100051, to the project title on
Sheet C1. State that this is a minor site plan amendment to SDP201400019 in the title.
The revision has been made to Sheet Cl.
2. [32.5.2 (b) and 4.121 Please revise the parking schedule that is shown on the sheets for
SDP201400019 (Sheet 4) and place it on the cover sheet of this amendment. The total
number of spaces provided should reflect the amount of parking spaces available after all
construction activities are completed.
The parking schedule is now shown on Sheet Cl.
3. [32.6.2 0)] Please revise the landscape plan from SDP201400019 (Sheet L-2) that
shows required street trees, parking area trees, parking area landscaping and tree canopy to
incorporate any new or removed landscaping into the landscaping calculations. Please revise
the site plan to reflect all changes being made with this minor amendment. Please ensure that
all new proposed landscaping is included in all relevant calculations and plant schedules.
a. [32.7.9.6 (a)] A minimum of 5% of the parking area must be landscaped.
b. [32.7.9.6 (b)] One tree per ten parking spaces.
c. [32.7.9.81 Minimum tree canopy of 10%.
d. Please provide the plant schedule to include the botanical name, common name,
size, and quantity of all existing and proposed landscaping features. The Albemarle
County Recommended Plants List can be found here:

e. Please provide the canopy area per plant for each species type, and then state the
total canopy per species type based on the amount of trees/shrubs provided. Canopy

All landscaping revisions have been completed by Anhold Associates, the revised
landscaping plan is included with the plan set. As discussed in our e-mail
correspondence dated 7-26-2021, the landscape plan data from SDP-2018-84 was
utilized for the revision.
Architectural Review Board — Margaret Maliszewski 7-1-2021
No comments to address.
Building Inspections — Betty Slough 7-1-2021
No comments to address.
Engineering Services — Mathew Wentland 7-1-2021
1. Due to other work occurring at the Airport, this will be considered part of a common plan
of development and will required a VSMP plan submittal and DEQ coverage. The
VSMP plan will need to be approved before the amendment can be approved.
The VSMP plan submittal is included with this revised site plan submittal. It is
understood that DEQ coverage will be provided under the Airport's existing permit
coverage VAR # 1ON007. The signed DEQ registration statement is enclosed as is the
prepared SWPPP document. Payment for the VSMP plan submittal and DEQ coverage
($171.60+$294.32=$465.92) was submitted online directly from the airport on
September 13, 2021.
Fire Rescue — Howard Laaomarsino 7-1-2021
No comments to address.
