Charlottesville, Virginia 22902-4596 Dear Ms. Sprinkle: In response to the notice that was sent to our office (see enclosed) regarding the request for a variance by Tiger Fuels and Texaco, our Company has concerns over this matter. During the development of our site, we have been required to maintain the approved front yard set-back, when our site was first developed in the mid-1970's, and secondly, two years ago after the widening project by VDOT was completed. We feel that the Zoning Department should remain consistent with similar projects throughout the County. Several of our other concerns are as follows: 1. Visibility - By allowing a change in the required front yard set-back, the site appearance of our facility would be affected. When we renovated our facility several years ago, we designed our new site plan to meet the necessary required set-backs. A change in the set-back could bring about an economic hardship to our Company. 2. Safety - By allowing a change in the required front yard set-back, the safety of our customers could be affected upon leaving our facility due to the distance of the proposed Tiger Fuel pump islands and the road. Our customers sight visibility could be affected by the proposed changes. We ask that you take our concerns into consideration during the process of this request. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at my office at 800-642-0945. Best Regards, A. T. WILLI S OIL COMPANY Steve Williams
