Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
This letter is to notify you, as adjoining property owners, that the Albemarle County Board of
Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, December 2, on VA-97-19, for
William & Sybil Robertson. The variance request involves property described as tax map 45,
parcel 31E, Zoned RA, Rural Areas, Rio Magisterial District. The applicant is requesting
relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance, as follows:
Applicant requests a variance to reduce the front yard from 75 to 40 feet, and
to reduce the 200-foot setback from the 100-year flood plain of the reservoir
to 135 feet, thus allowing the use of an existing foundation for a garage.
The public hearing will be held by the Board of Zoning Appeals on December 2, 1997, at 3:00
p.m., in Meeting Room 241, Second Floor, County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road,
Charlottesville, Virginia.
