1) This approval is for construction in substantial accordance with building permit
97-1794 AR. Any additions shall require amendment of the variance, and
2) A certificate of occupancy shall be obtained within twelve (12) months.
This variance approval allows relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County Zoning
Ordinance to reduce the rear setback from 35 to 22 feet and the side setback from 25
to 18 feet for an addition to a house.

Dear Mr. Thomas:
This letter is to inform you that your variance application, VA-97-21, was heard during
the public hearing by the Albemarle County Board of Zoning Appeals on Tuesday,
January 6, 1998. The Board (4:1) approved the variance request subject to the
following conditions:
1) This approval is for construction in substantial accordance with building permit
97-1794 AR. Any additions shall require amendment of the variance, and
