HomeMy WebLinkAboutSDP202100056 Correspondence 2021-09-23 (2)ENCLOSURE B PARKING SPACE DETERMINATION LETTER /A® SEH Building a Better World for All of lJs® September 21, 2021 Zoning Administrator Albemarle County Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902 To Whom It May Concern: RE: SDP 2021-00056 Request for Parking Space Review Airport Road Pump Station Project Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority SEH No. RIVAN 153082 14.00 The Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (RWSA) has proposed to construct the Airport Road Pump Station (ARPS) at TMP 32-41A2, generally located at the northern terminus of Berkmar Drive. The County's site plan review process, SDP 2021-00056, has identified that the proposed use of the site is an unscheduled use in regard to the parking requirements. This letter is being submitted on behalf of the RWSA to request a review and approval of the proposed number of parking spaces, four (4), at the proposed Airport Road Pump Station. Background The ARPS is a proposed potable water booster station which will serve to improve the RWSA operations of the potable water distribution system. The proposed ARPS consists of a 1,209 square foot building of cavity wall masonry construction and an adjacent 769 square foot covered generator pad. The proposed ARPS will be an unmanned pump station and will receive periodic visits by RWSA staff. The site and pump station are not public facilities and the entire site is fenced to prevent access to the site. Selected sheets from the site plan submittal are enclosed for your reference. Design efforts have planned for four (4) dedicated parking spaces to be provided at the site to allow for parking during occasional visits by RWSA staff. Due to the unmanned nature of the pump station, it is proposed that four (4) dedicated parking spaces is sufficient for the intended use of the site.
