Pietsch Rt 2 Box 74 Earlysville, Va. 22936 RE: Variance Application Sprint has recently signed a lease to install a tower on a 50' x 50' area in the NE corner of Lot #2 in Airport Center. Plat is attached. I have told them that they can use Area A if necessary but it would be greatly appreciated if they could use Area B if possible. As you can see from the plat included by Roudebush& Gale the major portion of the 34 acres ad- joining the eastern boundry (or approx 28 acres) is also zoned LI, the same as Lot #2 and Lot #3. The balance, or about 6 acres, still remains zoned RA due to an existing house. The owner of this property has assured me that it is just a matter of time before that house will be removed and a request for a zoning change made on that parcel. While I cannot really consider this an undue or strenuous hardship it certainly would make a great deal of sense to allow the use of Area B and not just have that 2500 square feet stuck in the corner absolutely useless. I can see no adverse conditions regarding adjacent property. In view of the above I am respectfully requesting a variance to allow the installation of the tower on Area B. This, of course, has nothing to do with permission to erect the tower—that's in Sprint's hand. I am just concerned with where. Thank you. Res c 'ily sub d, harles F.
